Description
SAAF Fungicide from UPL is a highly effective dual-action fungicide formulated with Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP. It combines systemic and contact modes of action to provide comprehensive protection against a wide range of fungal diseases in various crops. This balanced formulation ensures both preventive and curative control, helping farmers maintain healthy and productive crops.
Benefits of SAAF Fungicide
- Saaf fungicide delivers both systemic and contact action. Part of the formulation is absorbed by the plant to control infections internally, while the rest forms a protective layer on the plant surface, creating an effective shield against fungi.
- Suitable for use on a broad range of crops, making it a versatile, all-in-one solution for fungal disease management.
- The combination of Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP effectively manages multiple fungal diseases such as root rot, dry rot, leaf spot, and several other yield-damaging infections.
- Saaf fungicide degrades quickly after application, minimising residue and reducing the risk of environmental harm.
- Regular application supports healthy plant growth and higher yields by protecting crops from fungal stress and ensuring better overall plant vigour.
Active Ingredients
- Carbendazim 12% (Systemic): Absorbed by the plant and translocated internally to control fungal infections from within.
- Mancozeb 63% (Contact): Forms a protective layer on the plant surface to prevent fungal spores from germinating.
Mode of Action
Saaf fungicide works by combining internal and surface-level protection. Carbendazim controls existing infections by moving within the plant, while Mancozeb prevents new infections by creating a protective barrier on leaves and stems.
Dosage and Application
For Foliar Application: Use 300 to 400 g of Saaf fungicide per acre, or use 2 g of fungicide per litre of water.
